Quexcel offers a Managed Software Asset Management (SAM) service where we continuously monitor IT environments. We scan assets, identify hardware, software, and cloud services, list license entitlements, verify compliance, and provide optimization consulting. This service is available to end-user organizations (both governmental and commercial) as well as Microsoft Service Providers (Microsoft partners).

We provide a quarterly report focused on key topics such as compliance and cost savings, along with security items like end-of-support software, device security statuses, password policies, and more. However, we’ve found that these reports can take time to read and interpret. Additionally, taking action to improve SAM maturity can be challenging.

Power bi dashboard KPI managed software asset managementStarting in December 2025, we will provide an up-to-date dashboard on a quarterly basis to review with customers. This dashboard will highlight the most important elements of the customer’s environment. Our conclusions and recommendations will be included in the dashboard. After the review meeting, the customer will receive a PDF version of the report along with the Estimated License Position (we will retain a copy for record-keeping, of course). If the customer is compliant with the software vendor’s terms and conditions (primarily Microsoft, but others may apply), a certificate of compliance will be issued.
